We wanted to share some of our writing paper choices from our writing workshop sessions. These differentiated paper choices are what we call "general writing paper" choices. Meaning, we use them mostly for narrative/small moment writing. These pages are horizontal (landscape) we have vertical pages as well. We have also created other paper choices for different genres and/or types (i.e. All About books, How-To books, Poetry, Persuasive/Opinion Writing). We will share other writing paper bundles soon!

I was wondering if you guys could share any professional texts that have helped you throughout your years of teaching! Being a first year teacher , I don't have a whole lot of knowledge on which professional texts are the MOST helpful. Focusing on guided reading, word work and writing. Which do you guys recommend? =)

We'll have to get back to you with more recommendations soon, but we definitely still refer to many of the texts we read in college such as the books by Fountas & Pinnell; Spelling K-8 (D. Snowball); Phonics They Use (P. Cunningham). Does your school use the Units of Study for Reading and Writing?
